Mission Summary:

Motional is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and employees. We are looking for a Senior Privacy Engineer capable of working across teams and technologies to identify and contribute to resolving privacy issues. You will use your expertise in privacy and your technical skills to build privacy into Motional’s products.

The Motional global headquarters are located at 100 Northern Avenue in Boston, MA. Nestled in the busting Seaport district with sweeping views of Boston Harbor and downtown Boston, the offices are located close to major transit lines and a quick walk to various restaurants and popular attractions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work closely with the the Legal and Cybersecurity teams to define privacy policies and requirements
  • Stay abreast of the evolution of privacy regulations and ensure the company’s privacy approach is sufficient to ensure compliance
  • Analyze self-driving products to identify privacy risks and appropriate mitigations
  • Define technical privacy requirements and designs to mitigate privacy risks
  • Develop new privacy features and privacy enhancing technologies to protect private information in automated driving systems
  • Collaborate with the engineering organization to build privacy into self-driving products
  • Act as the bridge between privacy subject matter experts and engineering to ensure privacy topics are adequately addressed by technical teams

What we're looking for:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Equivalent Knowledge and Work Experience
  • 5+ years professional experience building software for robotics, AI, cyber-physical systems, or advanced engineering projects
  • Strong programming skills in Python, experience with C++
  • Experience with Linux work environment, software, and toolchains
  • Experience with collecting requirements and creating software designs
