Senior Engineer – Vehicle Function Integration will work closely with an entire development team including software developers, application / calibration engineers, various hardware engineering team members and project managers to develop project specific solutions for Motionals’ product and ensure close working relations with HMC on Motional’s GEN2 Program. The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated and have the willingness to dive right in and enjoy tackling and solving complex challenges on a daily basis and have the ability to work cross-functional areas. Strong collaborator, able to work with others to understand and clarify requirements.

What you'll be doing:

  • Interface with cross-functional groups to define, develop, design and execution of GEN2 hardware solutions
  • Analyze various requirements and test/simulation results and identify gaps to performance requirements
  • First point of contact for HMC for vehicle function integration issues including (but not limited to) vehicle engineering and component engineering topics
  • Develop mitigation plans for risks, issues and problems prior to becoming critical path
  • Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams to develop cohesive development plans
  • Act as subject matter expert to coordinate with various internal/external stakeholders to ensure all needs are satisfied
  • Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure vehicle launch and program deliverables are on track 
  • Responsible for developing and rolling out project and program deliverables across the organization
  • Display dedication, time management, cadence and effectively elevates their team when needed       

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of work experience with the system engineering
  • 3+ years experience in Project/Program Management
  • Familiar with PPAP and automotive engineering design processes
  • Experience in project management or technical management
  • Experience with global teams, multiple time zones
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Cross-functional knowledge of Systems Engineering, Electronic, Software, and Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Integration, Automated Driving integration in Infrastructure 

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Comfortable working in fast paced dynamic projects
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills 
  • Strong Interest in next-generation automated driving technologies (hand-on evaluation)
  • Good knowledge of common vehicle electrical and networking systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc)
